No7 Restore & Renew Day Cream SPF 30 review for menopausal skin
At a glance
No7 Restore & Renew Multi Action Face & Neck Day Cream SPF 30 is a daytime moisturizer with a broad-spectrum SPF 30 made from chemical sunscreen filters, plus peptides, ceramides and fragrance. It is a workable daily SPF for the face and neck if you tolerate fragrance and alcohol. It is not a menopause-specific product and it does not repair crepey skin. For reactive skin, a mineral SPF with a simpler list is often the gentler starting point.
This is a researched review of No7’s US product page, its ingredient list and its published claims. We have not used the cream and make no before-and-after claim. This is No7’s Restore & Renew line, not its Menopause Skincare range.

The answer in one table

| Fragrance-free? | No. “Parfum (Fragrance)” and “Alcohol denat.” are listed. |

What the official page shows
No7’s US product page, checked October 10, 2026, describes broad-spectrum SPF 30, Matrixyl 3000 PLUS peptides, hibiscus peptides, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. The active ingredients are avobenzone 3%, octisalate 5% and octocrylene 8%. The inactive list includes shea butter, glycerin, alcohol denat., fragrance, retinyl palmitate and two parabens.
- Sunscreen: the filters are chemical (organic) filters. Some people with reactive skin prefer mineral filters; both can be effective when applied properly.
- Fragrance and alcohol: both listed.
- Directions on the page: “apply evenly over your face and neck, avoiding the eye area.” The page text does not give reapplication or water-resistance directions, so follow the Drug Facts label on the package. The AAD’s sunscreen application guidance explains generous application and reapplication.
- “Crepey skin”: this wording does not appear in the official page we checked. Some listings use it; we do not repeat it.
Brand claims, and how far they go
No7 says the cream helps skin feel firmer in two weeks (consumer study) and hydrates “better than moisturizers that cost 10x more” (an instrumental study using No7 day creams only). These are brand claims. The second compares No7 creams with each other, so it is not a comparison with other brands.
Is it a good daily SPF for mature skin and the neck?
It may suit you if:
- you want one daytime step that is both a moisturizer and SPF 30, including for the neck;
- you do not mind fragrance and have tolerated parabens-containing products;
- you use it as a sunscreen, applied generously, not just as a light moisturizer.
Choose something else if:
- your skin is reactive: start with menopausal skin suddenly sensitive;
- you want mineral-only filters or a simpler list: see best sunscreens for dry skin around menopause;
- you need water-resistant protection for swimming or sweating.

How to use it more safely
Patch test on the inner arm. Use it as your morning SPF over cleansed skin, apply generously and reapply as the Drug Facts label directs, and keep it out of the eyes. Questions before buying
Is it good for menopausal skin?
It is a general age-defying SPF moisturizer. It is not designed for menopause, and the brand’s claims are not menopause-specific.
Does it firm or repair crepey skin?
The brand reports a consumer study of firmer feel in two weeks. The evidence does not show repair of crepey skin, and sunscreen mostly helps prevent further sun damage.
Is a chemical SPF worse than mineral?
Neither is simply better. Mineral filters are often chosen for reactive skin; chemical filters often feel lighter. Use the one you will apply properly.
Can I use it on my neck and chest?
The brand directs use on the face and neck. Apply generously and reapply. For a neck-focused moisturizer, see the Eight Saints Firm Intentions review.
The researched verdict
A fragranced daytime SPF 30 moisturizer with peptides and ceramides, priced modestly on Amazon. A fair option if you accept fragrance and want face-and-neck SPF in one step. For reactive skin, a mineral SPF with a simpler list is the safer starting point.
