Eight Saints Night Shift Hydration Gel review for menopausal skin
At a glance
Eight Saints Night Shift Hydration Gel is a lightweight, water-based gel moisturizer with peptides and vitamin C. It may suit menopausal skin that feels tight but is not very dry, or that dislikes heavy creams. If your skin is genuinely dry or flaky, the richer Up The Anti cream is more likely to feel comfortable. It is not made for menopause, and the evidence behind it is thin.
This is a researched review of the manufacturer’s current ingredient list, directions and published study summary. We have not used the gel and make no before-and-after claim.
A researched review of Eight Saints Night Shift Anti-Aging Hydration Gel for dry menopausal skin: the official ingredient list, who it suits, and whether the gel or the Up The Anti cream fits better.

The answer in one table
| Question | Short answer |
|---|---|
| Made for menopausal skin? | No. It is a general anti-aging hydration gel. |
| What kind of product? | A water-based gel moisturizer with glycerin, aloe, hyaluronate, peptides and vitamin C. |
| Fragrance-free? | No. The brand describes a “fresh, natural scent” (cucumber hydrosol is listed). |
| Alcohol? | “Alcohol” appears on the list. |
| Retinoid or exfoliating acid? | Neither is listed. |
What the official ingredient list shows
The official product page, checked October 10, 2026, lists deionized water, glycerin, aloe leaf juice, several plant extracts, sunflower and jojoba oils, vitamin E, cucumber hydrosol, hyaluronic acid forms, vitamin C, sodium PCA, amino acids, MSM and sodium lactate, with alcohol and standard preservatives near the end.
- Hydration: glycerin, hyaluronates, sodium PCA and sodium lactate are humectants. Without a thick emollient base, the gel is a lighter finish than a cream.
- Peptides and vitamin C: present, but no concentrations are published.
- Scent and alcohol: a natural scent is promised and alcohol is listed, which matters for reactive skin.
What the evidence says
The product page carries “dermatologist approved and clinically proven” wording but, on the page we checked, gives no study design or participant details for this gel. The brand’s separate study page covers the All In Eye Cream and Up The Anti, not this gel. Copy such as “jojoba oil to eradicate fine lines” goes further than a moisturizer can show, so we do not repeat it.
Is the gel a good night moisturizer for mature skin?
It may suit you if:
- you find creams heavy but want a hydrating night step;
- your skin is tight rather than flaky or sore;
- you accept a scented, botanical formula.
Choose something else if:
- your skin is very dry, flaky or newly sensitive: a richer fragrance-free cream is the safer start (see menopausal skin suddenly sensitive);
- you avoid alcohol or plant extracts.

How to use it more safely
Patch test on the inner arm for a few days. Pat it over clean face and neck before bed, as the directions say. Add one new product at a time and wear sunscreen in the morning. See a simple menopause skincare routine for the order. The brand’s Up The Anti review and All In Eye Cream review cover its other products.
Questions before buying
Is Night Shift gel good for dry menopausal skin?
It can add light hydration, but for very dry skin a cream with a richer base is a more usual choice. Persistent dryness or itch deserves a clinician’s opinion.
Gel or cream at night?
Choose by feel: gel if creams feel heavy, cream if skin is flaky or tight even after moisturizing. You do not need both.
Is it fragrance-free?
No. The brand promises a natural scent, and cucumber hydrosol is listed.
The researched verdict
A light, scented hydration gel with peptides and vitamin C. A fair option for tight but not very dry skin; for dry menopausal skin a richer cream or a plainer fragrance-free product is the safer first step.
